"Brilliant" Original Painting

Lake Michigan at sunrise is a sensory feast, and I tried to capture the blinding brilliance of the sun as it crested the distant horizon on a hot July morning. The light was dancing in the grasses as they waved in the gentle breeze, and the sound of the water lapping on shore was the only thing breaking the stillness. Having just moved to the area, I was inspired by the absolutely brilliant sunrises and wanted to convey that same feeling in this piece.

“Brilliant” is my celebration of nature’s gentle beauty and the inspirational calm that comes with witnessing a sunrise by the shore. It reminds me—and I hope it reminds you, too—of the quiet power found in everyday moments, encouraging a sense of gratitude and mindfulness that uplifts the spirit and refreshes the soul.
